Pacific Palisades Wine Room

This Wine Room Installation demanded the highest levels of precision and careful planning. The contractor finished the woodwork prior to the installation of the glass and wanted the glass to have a minimal amount of clearance with the walls. The 1/2” tempered glass panel weighs approximately 600 pounds, and had to be moved by numerous men from the front of the house, down an exterior staircase one level, proceed approximately 75 feet through the house, down another four stairs, continue another 50 feet and finally arrive at the installation location.

The opening was approximately 11 feet wide by 8 feet tall and the glass was incredibly only 1/16” narrower than the opening…that’s correct, there was only 1/32” on each side of the glass!

The walk-in Wine Room includes double glass doors on the opposite side and truly is a showpiece of the house.
